SciFest participation and win.
Seven students from the school took part in DCU SciFest on April 24th 2018, presenting their research carried out over the course of TY and Fifth year. Their research covered aspects such as factors effecting plant growth, e-cigarettes, protein powders and aspects of psychology.
The students involved were Rebecca Carolan, Megan Curtin, Luke Hodgkiss, Jack Rowland, Emily Perris, Grainne Lawlor and Enya Nordon.
Well done to them all.
A special word of congratulations goes to Grainne and Enya whose project won the SFI Best Project Award and they will go on to represent the school at the National SciFest competition in November. Good luck ladies!

Congratulations to TY students Emily Perris, Luke Hodgkiss and Jack Rowland, whose project "How Different Pesticides and Their Concentrations Affect Cress and Its Growth" was accepted to compete under the Biological and Ecological Category in the BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2018.
Well done also to 5th Year students Grainne Lawlor and Enya Nordon who represented the school at the exhibition alongside Emily, Jack and Luke for the second time running under the Chemical, Physical and Mathematical category with their project entitled "An Investigation Into The Deposition of Metallic Particles In E-Cigarette Vapour." The girls received a highly commended award for their effort for the second year running. A huge achievement.
